## Best for

- Longer ads and short stories in one take: ByteDance says Seedance 2.5 makes "a 30-second audio-video clip" in a single pass, up from 15 seconds ([ByteDance Seed blog](https://seed.bytedance.com/en/blog/one-take-creation-flexible-referencing-introducing-seedance-2-5)).
- Keeping a product or character consistent across shots from many references: ByteDance lists "up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio clips" per run ([ByteDance Seed blog](https://seed.bytedance.com/en/blog/one-take-creation-flexible-referencing-introducing-seedance-2-5)).
- Clips paced beat by beat: ByteDance says you can control "the narrative, camera perspective, movement, and overall rhythm for a specific time frame" ([ByteDance Seed blog](https://seed.bytedance.com/en/blog/one-take-creation-flexible-referencing-introducing-seedance-2-5)).
- Following a reference video's framing and camera language: the project page says it understands reference videos "more precisely" ([Seedance 2.5 page](https://seed.bytedance.com/en/seedance2_5)).

## How to use Seedance 2.5 in Sloosh

1. Open [Video](https://sloosh.ai/studio/video?video-model=seedance-2.5) and pick Seedance 2.5 in the model chip.
2. Add references (images, videos, audio) to keep a product, character or sound, or add a start and end frame instead. Studio closes the other option once you add one.
3. Write the prompt: name each reference by its number ("Image 1", "Video 1"), then the plot in timed beats.
4. Set the length (4 to 30 seconds), resolution and aspect ratio. Switch sound off with the speaker switch if you don't need it.
5. Check the price on the Generate button, then generate.

## Seedance 2.5 prompting tips

- Start by naming each reference by order and job, for example "Image 1 is the amber serum bottle; keep its label exactly" ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).
- Write the plot as timed beats in whole seconds with no gaps, such as `0-3s:` and `3-7s:`, each with its visuals, camera, action and sound. ByteDance's own example prompts use time segments like "0-5s" ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md), [ByteDance Seed blog](https://seed.bytedance.com/en/blog/one-take-creation-flexible-referencing-introducing-seedance-2-5)).
- Put sound effects in angle brackets, `<a soft glass click>`, and dialogue in quotes ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).
- Plain negatives work for subtitles and audio: "No subtitles.", "No music." ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).
- Don't change the camera every second or pack many actions into one beat; that causes extra cuts or skipped plot ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).
- For on-screen words, spell them letter by letter or add the text as an image reference ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).

A 20-second ad on a misty mountain path at dawn. 0-5s: Wide shot, a runner crests the ridge in soft blue light. 5-12s: Low tracking shot beside the shoes as they hit wet rock. <light splashes> 12-20s: The runner stops; slow push-in to a close-up of the shoe on the rock. Wind and distant birds. No subtitles, no logo.
```
**Prompt 2**
```text
Image 1 is the chef, Image 2 is the kitchen. 0-4s: The chef sets a pan on the stove in the kitchen from Image 2. 4-9s: Close-up of garlic hitting hot oil. <a loud sizzle> 9-14s: The chef looks at the camera and says "Ten minutes, that's all." Warm light, handheld feel. No music.

| Max resolution | 1080p | 4K | 720p | 1080p |

Seedance 2.0 follows numbered shots rather than timestamps, and the same prompt gives a visibly different style on 2.5 ([Sloosh docs](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md)).
