# Video prompts

Write an AI video prompt as one shot: the scene, what moves in order, the camera move and the pace.

Last updated: 2026-10-05

**Key facts**

- A good AI video prompt in Sloosh describes one shot: the scene, what moves in order, the camera move and the pace.
- Sloosh video models make clips from 3 seconds (Kling 3.0, Kling V3 Omni, Gemini Omni) up to 30 seconds (Seedance 2.5).
- Sloosh Studio's camera controls for camera, lens and aperture work with every video model; when you set them, leave the camera move out of the prompt.
- Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni, MiniMax H3, Grok Imagine and Pruna P-Video 2 Pro always make sound in Sloosh; Seedance, Kling 3.0 and Kling V3 Omni make it optional; Kling 2.5 is silent.

## Write it as a shot

- Start with the scene, as you would for an image.
- Say what moves, in order.
- Name the camera move: a slow push in, a pan, a static shot.
- Give the pace: slow and calm, or quick and full of energy.

**Example: product video**

```text
A glass perfume bottle on wet black stone. Water drips from above and splashes around the base. The camera pushes in slowly until the label fills the frame. Soft light, slow and calm.
```

The clip below came from Seedance 2.5 with one character reference. Its prompt reads like a shot list: the setting, what happens and when ("at approximately 6 seconds, the dragon pushes off"), then one camera line: one continuous shot, from a wide 24mm view behind the rider, tracking forward and rising into a medium close-up.

## Start and end frames

Some video models take a start frame, an end frame or both. In Studio, add them with Upload frames in the + menu; in Spacelab, wire them into a Video node's First frame and Last frame. Describe what happens in between.

## Camera controls

In Video mode, Studio has camera controls for camera, lens and aperture, and they work with every video model. If you set the camera there, leave the camera move out of the prompt.

Using Gemini Omni? Read [Prompting Gemini Omni](https://sloosh.ai/docs/prompting-gemini-omni.md) for its tags, caption and audio rules.

## Sound

Video models that can make sound show a speaker switch in the chip row. Describe the sound you want in the prompt, such as wind, music or a line of dialogue. Turning sound off can change the price; the Generate button shows it.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I turn a product photo into a video with AI?

On Sloosh Studio's [Video](https://sloosh.ai/studio/video) page, add the photo with Upload frames in the + menu as the start frame, then describe what moves and how the camera moves. Kling 3.0 and Kling 2.5 require a start frame and animate it; see [Kling 3.0](https://sloosh.ai/docs/kling-3-0.md).

### How do I make an AI video longer than 10 seconds?

Pick a model with a longer range: in Sloosh, Seedance 2.5 makes up to 30 seconds and several models reach 15. For longer pieces, make several clips and join them with Video Concat in Spacelab. Your plan also caps video length, and Pro and Max lift that cap.

### How do I add sound or dialogue to an AI video in Sloosh?

Describe the sound in the prompt, such as wind, music or a line of dialogue. Video models that can make sound show a speaker switch in Sloosh Studio's chip row; turning sound off can change the price, which the Generate button shows.

### How do I control the camera movement in an AI video?

Name one camera move in the prompt, such as a slow push in, a pan or a static shot, or set camera, lens and aperture with Sloosh Studio's camera controls. Use one or the other: if you set the camera controls, leave the camera move out of the prompt.
