**Key facts**

- Sloosh Synora makes a talking video: you pick a character (a photo of a face or one of your [AI Influencers](https://sloosh.ai/docs/ai-influencer.md)), a voice and a script, and they say it on camera with the lips in sync.
- A Sloosh Synora video runs 4 to 30 seconds, is never shorter than its audio, and comes in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 at Low (480p), High (720p) or 1080p.
- Sloosh Synora's audio is a take you make from a script in a voice from [Audio Studio](https://sloosh.ai/docs/audio-studio.md), or a recording you upload (MP3, WAV or M4A, 4 to 30 seconds), used as it is.
- Sloosh Synora shows the credit cost on Generate audio and Generate video before you press them, and the finished video lands in the page's Generations tab.

## What it is

Synora is a page for making a person talk. You choose who is on camera, what they say and how it sounds, and Synora makes a short video of them saying it, with their lips matching the words. Use it for a product explainer, a UGC-style review, a founder update, a course intro or a reply to a comment, without a camera or a shoot.

Open it at [Synora](https://sloosh.ai/synora), from the Creator menu in the top bar. Signed out you can look around and play the templates; pressing Generate asks you to sign up first.

## A 60-second example

1. Press Character, open Influencers and pick one of your AI Influencers, then press Use character. Or upload a photo of a face.
2. Press Voice, then Choose a voice, and pick Sarah from the Library tab (▶ plays a sample).
3. In Script, write: `Hi, I'm Maya. [laughs] Okay, real talk: this jacket survived three flights, one rainstorm and my little brother. It still looks brand new.`
4. Press Generate audio. The take appears under the script; press ▶ to hear it.
5. Pick Podcast studio under Background, keep 9:16 and High (720p), and press Generate video.
6. When it is done, the video is in Generations, ready to play and download.

## Pick a character

Character is who is on camera. Press it to open the picker: Uploads and Generations hold your own pictures, Influencers holds your AI Influencers, and Unsplash finds a stock photo. Upload or create adds a new photo; New influencer opens [AI Influencer](https://sloosh.ai/docs/ai-influencer.md) to make one.

Use a clear, front-facing photo of one face. Only use a real person's face if you are that person or have their permission.

## Choose a voice

Voice decides how the words sound. It offers three ways in:

- The character's own voice: an AI Influencer that has a voice brings it along, so the same character always sounds the same.
- Choose a voice: My voices holds your workspace's cloned voices; Library holds ready-made voices, each with its gender and accent and a ▶ sample.
- Upload audio: a recording of someone speaking, MP3, WAV or M4A, 4 to 30 seconds. It is used as it is, so Script and Generate audio step aside.

To make your own voice, use Add my voice in [Audio Studio](https://sloosh.ai/docs/audio-studio.md#clone-your-voice).

## Write the script

Script is what the character says, up to about 30 seconds of speech; the counter under it shows the estimate. Tags in square brackets set how a line is said: `[laughs]`, `[excited]`, `[whispers]`. Tags inserts one at the cursor; Auto-tag adds them for you, and you can undo it from its message.

Press Generate audio to make a take. Each take lands under the script with ▶ and its length; the newest is put in use, and the dot on another take uses that one instead. Make a few and keep the best.

## Set the scene

Once there is a character and audio, the video settings wake up:

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Background | Where they are: Podcast studio, White studio, Café, Night street, Selfie vlog, Park bench, Golden-hour handheld, Train window, or Custom (your own scene: a photo of the place, described in Additional instructions, or both). |
| Background image | Custom only, optional: a photo of the place. They are filmed there; people in the photo are left out. With a photo, Additional instructions become optional. |
| Additional instructions | Optional: shots, moves and mood, such as `They laugh and lean toward the camera as the shot slowly pushes in.` |
| Aspect ratio | 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, 1:1, or 16:9 for YouTube. |
| Resolution | Low (480p), High (720p) or 1080p. Higher looks sharper and costs more credits. |
| Total duration | 4 to 30 seconds, and never shorter than the audio. |

## Templates and Generations

Templates shows finished Synora videos; Recreate on one fills the form with its character, voice and settings, so you change only what you need. Generations holds every video you made here, newest first.

## Cost

Generate audio and Generate video each show their credit cost before you press them. The video's price grows with its length and resolution. A failed generation gives its credits back. See [Plans and credits](https://sloosh.ai/docs/plans-and-credits.md).

## Limits

- One character per video, talking to the camera.
- Up to 30 seconds per video; for longer, make several and join them in your editor.
- Uploaded audio must be 4 to 30 seconds and is not changed.
- Use only faces and voices you own or have permission to use, never a child's or a public figure's.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Sloosh Synora?

Synora is Sloosh's talking-video page. You pick a character, a voice and a script, and it makes a video of that character saying your words on camera with the lips in sync, up to 30 seconds.

### Can I make a Synora video in my own voice?

Yes. Clone your voice once with Add my voice in [Audio Studio](https://sloosh.ai/docs/audio-studio.md), then pick it under Voice, then Choose a voice, then My voices. Or upload a recording of yourself with Upload audio.

### Can my AI Influencer talk in Synora?

Yes. Pick them under Character, then Influencers. If the AI Influencer has a voice, Synora offers it first as the character's own voice, so they sound the same in every video.

### How long can a Synora video be?

From 4 to 30 seconds. The video is never shorter than its audio, so a 12-second take makes at least a 12-second video.

### Which languages does Synora speak?

Any language the chosen voice speaks. Library voices list their languages in [Audio Studio](https://sloosh.ai/docs/audio-studio.md); write the script in that language. An uploaded recording can be in any language.

### Do Synora videos have sound?

Yes. The video carries the take you made or the audio you uploaded, with the character's lips matched to it.

### Can I film a Synora character in my own place?

Yes. Pick Custom under Background, then add a photo of the place under Background image. The character is filmed there; anyone else in the photo is left out. Add Additional instructions to say what happens there, or leave them empty.
