**Key facts**

- Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's highest-quality model in the Seedance 2.0 series, and in Sloosh it makes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 second clips.
- Seedance 2.0 is the only Seedance model in Sloosh that outputs 4K; it also offers 480p, 720p and 1080p.
- Seedance 2.0 takes up to 9 reference images and 3 reference videos in Sloosh, each video 2 to 15 seconds long.
- Seedance 2.0 follows numbered shots (`Shot 1:`, `Shot 2:`), not timestamps; BytePlus calls precise timing like "0-3 seconds" unstable on 2.0.

Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's highest-quality model in the 2.0 series. It makes video and sound together and holds a product's or character's look from reference images, videos and audio.

## When to use it

- Product turntables and short ads that need the product to stay accurate.
- Reusing a camera move from a reference video, or a voice from an audio clip.
- It follows numbered shots, not timestamps. For timed beats, use [Seedance 2.5](https://sloosh.ai/docs/seedance-2-5.md).

## How to prompt it

- Open with the references: "Use the sneaker in Image 1 as the product."
- Write a storyboard: `Shot 1:`, `Shot 2:`, `Shot 3:`. One camera move per shot, with the action and the sound.
- Music goes in brackets `(minimal electronic music)`, sound effects in angle brackets `<a soft squeak>`, dialogue in curly brackets `{Hello}`.
- There's no negative field. Add lines like "Keep it subtitle-free; do not generate a logo or watermark."
- 4 or 5 references work best: put the most important first, and don't fill every slot.
- Prefer slow, continuous motion; big fast actions are less stable.

## Example

One product reference and a three-shot storyboard.

Input: product photo: ![A white mesh running sneaker with sage-green panels and a thick white sole, side view on light grey](https://sloosh.ai/docs/in-sneaker.webp)

->

Result: [![The sage-green sneaker turning on a white pedestal in a grey studio](https://sloosh.ai/docs/m-seedance-2-0.webp)](https://sloosh.ai/docs/m-seedance-2-0.mp4) (video)

_16:9, 720p, 8 seconds, sound on, Enhance off. Clips here play without sound; press one to pause._

**Prompt**

```text
Use the sneaker in Image 1 as the product; keep its white mesh, sage-green panels and white foam sole consistent.
Shot 1: Close-up of the sneaker on a white stone pedestal against a soft grey backdrop; the camera slowly orbits 180 degrees, showing the side and the heel.
Shot 2: A hand enters frame, lifts the sneaker and turns it to show the sole. <a soft rubber squeak>
Shot 3: The camera slowly pulls back to a wide shot of the pedestal in clean studio light. (minimal electronic music)
High definition, soft studio lighting. Keep it subtitle-free; do not generate a logo or watermark.
```

## Frequently asked questions

### Can Seedance 2.0 make 4K video in Sloosh?

Yes. Seedance 2.0 offers 4K in Sloosh, as well as 480p, 720p and 1080p, and it is the only Seedance model there that does. 4K outputs need a Pro or Max plan; [Plans and credits](https://sloosh.ai/docs/plans-and-credits.md) explains plans.

### How many references should I give Seedance 2.0?

BytePlus recommends 4 or 5 references for Seedance 2.0, such as one or two character images, one scene, one camera-move video and one audio clip, even though Sloosh accepts up to 9 images and 3 videos. Put the most important reference first and don't fill every slot.

### How do I add music, sound effects and dialogue in Seedance 2.0?

Seedance 2.0 reads three markers: music in brackets, `(minimal electronic music)`; sound effects in angle brackets, `<a soft squeak>`; and dialogue in curly brackets, `{Hello}`. BytePlus advises against mixing Chinese and English in one line of dialogue.

### Does Seedance 2.0 copy the sound of my reference video in Sloosh?

No, not in Spacelab runs. Sloosh removes the soundtrack from Seedance reference videos before using them, because Seedance copies a reference's audio and the result can then be blocked as copyrighted music. Describe the sound you want in the prompt instead.

### Why does my Seedance 2.0 video have subtitles or a watermark?

Seedance 2.0 sometimes adds stray subtitles, logos or watermarks, and it has no negative prompt field. Add constraint lines to the prompt, such as "Keep it subtitle-free; do not generate a logo or watermark.", which is the wording BytePlus recommends.
